Ghanaian Reggae artiste, David Oscar Dogbe has lashed out at the music fraternity in Ghana over failure to support the works of the late Rudebwoy Ranking.
In his estimation, the late Reggae / Dancehall act did not receive enough recognition and support for his talent while he was alive.
“I never met Rudebwoy Ranking Ruddest Boss but I knew of his music. Thanks to DJ Manni .
In one breath, I am very crestfallen to learn about his passing, in another breath, I would like to congratulate all those industry gatekeepers, window closers and red carpet rollers who may not have liked him secretly.
“I guess you all are happy now? Another talent we never saw you actively pushing. You are free to write your RIP messages reeking of hypocrisy now … we will READ them. Ghana … Sad Place To Be,” David Oscar Dogbe wrote on his Facebook page.
According to media reports, the last time Rudebwoy Ranking posted on Facebook was on 31st March when he wrote "Thank God it was great and beautiful breaking the fasting in this month of Ramadan with my lovely fans;friends and family at SwaggersGh watch out for the second edition #RMBARD".
The Ghanaian reggae and dancehall performer, born Mustapha Rahman passed away in the early hours of April 24, 2023, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra, where he was sent for treatment after a brief illness.
Rudebwoy Ranking was known for hits such as Jah Over Dem, My Time, Yaro, among others. He was once managed by Bullgod, formerly known as Bulldog.
