In the fourth episode of his Travel Diaries, Ghanaian reggae musician David Oscar embarked on a captivating journey to the Spanish island of Mallorca.
Surrounded by the island's breathtaking scenery and crystal-clear waters, David Oscar was left in awe, but also deeply conflicted.
While appreciating the beauty of the Sea, David Oscar couldn't help but compare it to the sad state of water bodies in his home country, Ghana.
Many rivers and lakes in Ghana are choked with plastic waste and pollution, a stark contrast to the pristine waters of Mallorca.
"It's heartbreaking to see how beautiful the water is here in Mallorca but then I think about the rivers and lakes back home, and it just makes me so sad. We have such a beautiful country, but we're not taking care of it," David Oscar shared with his viewers.
Despite his disappointment, David Oscar joined other tourists on a boat cruise, soaking in the stunning views of the island's coastline and exploring the tunnels that allowed tourist to enjoy the water from various angles.
However, when offered the opportunity to go swimming, David Oscar politely declined. "I'm not a very good swimmer and honestly, I'm a bit scared to get in," he said.
David Oscar's experience in Mallorca has sparked important conversations about environmental responsibility and the need for sustainable practices.
This episode of Travel Diaries series has not only entertained viewers but also inspired them to become better stewards of their environment.
